Remember these?

Lyman, Archer, Burton and Hibbard have been or will be closed in favor of new and improved schools. What are some of your favy elementary school memories? Or, funniest if you prefer.

Not sure I'd classify this as a favy or a funny, but I sure rememer it. One of my classmates was going to the teachers desk to tell her he felt sick, just before he reached her desk he started to puke, and even though his hand was over his mouth, some of us were unavoidably sprayed the rest of the vomit hit the floor. Thankfully the rest of the class got an entire library day thanks to him.

Adams Eagles rule!

One of my funniest elementary memories (in retrospect) was at recess with Jessica Wilson in 4th grade. We were walking out to the soccer field and she turned to me and said "That team sucks." It is the first time I remember hearing anyone say that word, and I was shocked! But I tried to play it cool and said something like, "Yeah, they totally ...suck." I felt really bad, and I'm pretty sure I confessed my new swearing problem to my parents that night.

kennedy elementary - most memorable year 5th grade. Mr. Widdison's class had a back door that went straight into the principles office and it was well used!

More in the gross catergory but it made me laugh to remember it; do you remember the mashed potatoes they used to feed us in elementary school? For some reason I seemed to be the only person who liked them, and therefore was given piles every time there were served. One day I ate so many that I puked them all over the lunch table. My apologies to anyone who was either struck by vomit or unreversably screwed up due to the experience.

Why do my memories all involve vomit?

FYI: Only Lyman, Archer and Burton is being closed. Hibbard is still up and running. :)

Thanks for the correction Mariann. Those of you who were devistated over the "closing" of Hibbard can now rest easy.
