Brooklyn “Brookie” Walker passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, ID. She was born November 28, 2007 in Rexburg, ID, to her parents Derek and Angelie Weaver Walker.
Brookie was a strong, sweet little girl and always caring for others. She loved playing with cousins, princesses, and dress-ups. People were drawn to her by her sweet spirit. Always the life of the party, Brooklyn loved helping others celebrate their everyday joys. She will forever be remembered as a our little Princess. She was surrounded by family and loved ones when she passed.
She is survived by her parents Derek and Angelie Walker; a brother, Porter Dale Walker; and grandparents, Marilyn Walker and Miles and Sherri Weaver.
Brooklyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Dale Walker.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3rd at the Mill Hollow LDS Chapel at 315 Gary Dr., in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Brooklyn’s name at Beehive Federal Credit Union.
